Town of Georgina 2011 Municipal Budget Meetings

Draft Budget 2011 - Online budget summaries of the 2011 Municipal Draft Budget will be available on this website on Thursday, February 10, 2011. Hardcopies of the complete draft budget document will be available for review at the Georgina Civic Centre and all branches of the Georgina Public Libraries on Thursday, February 10, 2011.

Give Council Your Views and Concerns - Members of the public will have multiple opportunities to present views and concerns related to the 2011 tax rates and draft budget to Council. The meeting dates and locations include:
  • Monday, February 14, 2011 Council Meeting beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the Civic Centre.
  • Tuesday, February 22, 2011 Committee of Whole Meeting beginning at 9:00 a.m. in the Council Chambers at the Civic Centre.
  • Wednesday, February 23, 2011 Special Council Meeting beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the Civic Centre.

Public Presentations - This is your opportunity to talk directly with Town staff regarding the 2011 Budget. Members of Council will not be in attendance at these presentations. The presentation dates and locations include:

  • Tuesday, February 15, 2011, 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Public Library - Keswick Branch, 90 Wexford Drive, Keswick.
  • Wednesday, February 16, 2011, 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Public Library - Peter Gzowski Branch, 5297 Black River Road, Sutton.
  • Thursday, February 17, 2011, 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Public Library - Pefferlaw Branch, 76 Pete's Lane, Pefferlaw.
Budget Day - Thursday, February 24, 2011, 8:30 a.m. Budget Committee Meeting in the Council Chambers at the Civic Centre. The Council Meeting will be open to members of the public.

Proposed Adoption - 2011 Budget - Monday, March 7, 2011 Special Council Meeting beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the Council Chambers at the Civic Centre. The Council Meeting will be open to the public.
