Department Profile

Under the leadership of Fire Chief Bill O'Neill and Deputy Chief Steve Richardson, Georgina Fire Department operates as a composite department with 3 fire stations. The three stations provide 24/7 coverage to 46,000 residents living within the 302 sq. km's of the Town. The Georgina Fire Department provides a range of services to the residents and visitors to the Town. These include fire suppression, medical aid response, motor vehicle accident response, hazardous material response, ice/water rescue response, and fire prevention/public education.

The Town of Georgina Fire Department employs 32 full-time suppression staff, one full-time Training Officer, one full-time Fire Prevention Officer, 2 full-time Public Educator/Fire Prevention Inspectors, one full-time Administrative Assistant and up to 60 volunteer firefighters.

Keswick Fire Hall
Station 1-4, is in located in Keswick and acts as Headquarters. All administration staff as well as the Fire Prevention Division and Training Division operate from this fire station. In addition, full time firefighters staff this hall 24 hours a day 7 days per week, complemented by a dedicated force of volunteer fire fighters.

Station 1-6, is located in Sutton. This station is staffed with full time firefighters 24 hours a day 7 days per week, and is complimented by a dedicated force of volunteer fire fighters.

Pefferlaw Fire Hall
Station 1-8, is located in Pefferlaw. This station is staffed with a dedicated force of volunteer fire fighters. Full time staff from the Sutton station responds with the Pefferlaw volunteers to all calls.
