General information
How do I find out if the ROC is closed?
For the most current status of the ROC, visit the What's Open page. Visit the Hours of Operations page for more information.
Disruptions of service and closure notices for onsite amenities will always be listed on the website.
Do you have lockers available?
The ROC chalet has lockers on-site, but there are no locks on the lockers so bring your own lock to secure your possessions.
The locker area is unsupervised and the ROC is not responsible for any loss or damage to items within the locker. Use at your own risk.
Can I bring my pet to the ROC?
Leashed animals are allowed on the ROC property (make sure to check out the leash-free dog park at the Animal Shelter), but animals are not allowed inside the chalet unless they are service animals.
Service animals (on a leash and with the proper documentation) are welcome but are excluded from accessing the hill and lift.
Do I have to be a resident of Georgina to get the discounted pricing or can I get the pricing if I live in York Region?
Residential pricing is reserved for residents of the Town of Georgina. Proof of residency is required upon check in to receive the residential discount.
Do you offer gift cards?
E-Gift cards are available for purchase online.
Will I get a refund for a closure?
In the event of closure at the facility a full credit will be applied to the account or a transfer to another available date will be offered. Refunds will be issued upon request by the original payment method and can take up to 30 days to process.
Can I cancel my scheduled visit?
All-access tickets are non-refundable. An all-access ticket is allowed to be transferred to an alternate date/time at least 24 hours in advance of your ticket time. Use the link in your ticket confirmation email to rebook all access ticket time. Requests made within 24 hours of your all-access ticket time can be submitted in writing to georginaroc@georgina.ca and will be reviewed by an administrator for final determination.
Requests made after an all-access ticket start time has passed are not eligible for rebooking. Non-attendance does not constitute a notice of withdrawal or rebooking.
How do I get a refund?
All-access tickets, as well as ROC season passes, are non-refundable and non-transferable. Requests can be made for extenuating and unique circumstances, and can be submitted in writing to georginaroc@georgina.ca and will be reviewed by an administrator for final determination.

Summer activities
How tall is the ROC’s climbing wall?
The climbing wall is eight ft wide and 32 ft high, with four unique routes of varying difficulty on two sides.
How many obstacles on the ROC’s high ropes course?
The course has 24 elements across two levels. The mid-platform is 22 ft and the upper platform is 32 ft.
What is the vertical playground?
A 40 ft vertical climbing apparatus with elements attached to the high ropes course.
How old do I have to be to use the course amenities?
Six years and older for the low ropes, climbing wall and vertical playground; 10 years and older for the high ropes and zipline.
Is there a weight or height restriction to use the course amenities?
Weight limit: 250 pounds. No height restrictions.
Do I need to sign a waiver to participate?
Yes, all participants must complete a liability waiver release form. Minors (under 18 years) need parental or guardian consent. Forms can be signed on-site or in advance.
What if there is inclement weather during my booking?
Programs and bookings run in light rain but will stop in severe conditions (thunder, lightning, high winds, ice, hail or low visibility). You can rebook or request a refund for cancelled programs/bookings. Refunds will not be available if staff deem the weather safe to climb.
What do I need to participate?
Closed-toe shoes (no crocs), long hair tied back, remove jewelry, tuck in loose clothing, no sharp objects, no alcohol or drugs, and bring water.
How do I book?
Book in advance at ROC Reservations. Walk-ins allowed if space is available.
Do spectators need a pass?
No, spectators do not need a pass.
When do the North Shore bike trails open?
This amenity is open year-round; use at your own risk. Maintained from Victoria Day to Thanksgiving. Check the website for updates.
When does the bike park open?
The bike park is open from Victoria Day to Thanksgiving.

Winter activities
Do you offer drop-in tubing or do we have to pre-book?
Drop ins are accepted when space is available in a specific timeslot. Booking in advance is recommended to secure the time and date of preference to avoid disappointment. Reservations can be made online at Rates and Reservations
What protective gear do I need for tubing?
Ski-industry approved helmets are required for skiing and snowboarding and are recommended for snow tubing. Ski-industry approved helmets are available to rent at the ROC for $8 plus tax with a $50 security deposit. Security deposit will be returned to the client upon the return of the helmet at the end of your visit.

Is there a height requirement for tubing?
All riders must meet a minimum requirement of 40 inches or taller for snow tubing.
Is there an age requirement for tubing?
There is no age requirement for snow tubing at the ROC. There is a height requirement of 40 inches or taller for snow tubing.
Do I need to buy a pass to be a spectator?
Spectators do not require an all-access ticket or season pass to access the property. Watch your friends and family tube, ski and snowboard from the comfort of the indoor chalet equipped with seating and cafeteria.
Do I need to buy a pass for toboggan hill?
The toboggan hill is free to use during operational hours and is considered use at your own risk. Participants must bring their own toboggan. Be advised that inflatables, stand-up toboggans or GT Racers are not allowed.
Do you offer ski or snowboard lessons?
The ROC offers a variety of ski and snowboard lessons. Access the snow school guide or register for snow school lessons.
Do I have to bring my tube or do you provide them?
Snow tubes are provided on site and only provided tubes will be deemed suitable for use on the tubing hill.
Do you have tubes that can accommodate two people, or are they only for individual use? Each tube is limited to one person per tube. Groups of up to five tubers are allowed to ride down at one time, but all participants must be seated in their own individual tubes.
Do you rent ski or snowboard equipment?
Yes. The ROC offers rentals for ski and snowboard equipment.
Can I use snow skates on the hill?
Snow skates or ski skates are allowed on the hill as long as they include proper boots like a ski or snowboard boot for ankle support, bindings to ensure the board is secured and the boards have metal edges.
Snow skates or ski skates can also be used with everyday snow boots, however, these are not permitted on the ROC hill. They don’t have the metal edges or the proper boot/binding for ankle stability and securement.
Do you have a cafeteria or restaurant on site at the ROC?
The ROC has chalet at the base of the hill that has a cafeteria with a menu of comfort food items including food and beverages. Enjoy your meal at one of the indoor tables or take a seat outside at one of the picnic tables on the patio or chairs by the fire pit. To view the menu and pricing, visit georginaroc.ca.

Equipment rentals
How can I rent ski or snowboard equipment?
Ski and snowboard rental equipment is available to rent at the ROC and can be reserved ahead of time with the purchase of an all-access lift ticket through the rates and reservations page or reserved in advance for lesson participants at the time of lesson registration. It is important to note that a parent or guardian must be on-site at time of equipment fitting to sign the liability release waiver required to rent equipment. A credit card must also be provided at time of reservation.
Can I rent individual pieces of equipment from the rental shop?
Yes, individual pieces of equipment are available to rent (i.e., snowboard, skis, boots, helmet, etc.).
Reservations for individual items are only available to rent on site at the ROC rental shop and are available based on availability.
I booked my rentals for one date, but I need to change it?
All-access tickets, including rental reservations, can be transferred to another available date and time up to 24 hours prior to your reservation start time. Simply click “change booking” on your ticket confirmation email.
Following this time frame, refunds and transfers are not permitted. Lesson participants can email georginaroc@georgina.ca for any reservation changes.
Do you rent snow pants, jackets, goggles, etc.?
These a la carte items cannot be rented at this time. Items such as gloves, hats and goggles can be purchased on site at our rental shop. It is recommended you bring the necessities with you for your visit.
Are ski and snowboard tuning/calibrating services offered?
At this time, the equipment shop is not currently providing tuning or calibrating services.
Why do I have to provide my weight, height, age and type of skier when I reserve my ski package?
This data is required for setting up your ski binding. Your weight, height, age and foot size helps calculate a “DIN” value which will determine the release force setting based on your skiing ability.
Are your helmets and boots disinfected before use?
Yes. Helmets and boots are sprayed following each use with a sanitizing/disinfectant spray.

Booking for a group, party or event
Do you offer birthday parties?
For summer birthday parties, the cost is $25 per participant. Enjoy exclusive use of the challenge course. Ages 6-9 years use the climbing wall, vertical playground and low ropes, and ages 10 years or older use the high ropes and climbing wall. Birthday parties are scheduled in two-hour increments. A ROC winter birthday party allows 10-20 of your friends and family members to celebrate together, with snow tubing for the day. The price is $32 per person and includes a two-hour lift ticket, helmet rental and kids' meal with beverage. Each booking comes with a one-hour table rental in the chalet. Is the ROC chalet included in a private booking on the course?
