The Municipal Law Enforcement Division enforces many of the bylaws that the Town of Georgina passes.
The Municipal Law Enforcement Division of the Town of Georgina is committed to providing professional municipal law enforcement in an effective, fair manner. Our goal is to achieve compliance with the municipal bylaws.
Complaints
Municipal Law Enforcement works on a complaint basis. Every complaint is thoroughly investigated and resolved with the appropriate action

Complaints can be registered by telephone to 905-476-4301, ext. 3006, email or by using the Property Investigation Complaint Form.
Common complaints
Some of the most common complaints received are:
- Property standards, such as junk and debris or old, derelict vehicles
- Storage of recreational leisure vehicles
- Water use restrictions
- Smoking on Town property
- Zoning (land use)
- Noise infractions
- Parking issues
- Aggressive and dangerous dogs
- Graffiti
- Noxious weeds (June 15 to Sept. 15)
- Sign permits
After-hours complaints
After-hour complaints can be made by calling 905-476-4301, ext. 2281. After-hour complaints can include parking violations, noise disturbances, short-term rental accommodation violations, etc. Leave a voicemail and your concerns will be forwarded to the next available officer. Due to a high volume of complaints received after hours, you may not receive a call back unless the officer requires further details.
Parking enforcement
Our parking enforcement is responsible for enforcing bylaws pertaining to parking on public roads and town owned facilities. This enables road safety, traffic flow and accessibility, and assists the Town in taking care of street cleaning, garbage removal and snow clearing on the public roads and sidewalks.
Administrative Monetary Penalty System (AMPS)
The Town of Georgina now uses the Administrative Monetary Penalty System (AMPS) to process and adjudicate most of its Parking and Traffic Bylaw.

The Municipal Law Enforcement Division keeps confidential any information provided. To register a complaint you will need to provide your name, address and telephone number, address of where you are lodging the complaint and complete complaint details.
