Black River Road Reconstruction

Overview

The Town of Georgina has identified the need to reconstruct approximately 3,200 metres in two sections of Black River Road, from Dalton Road to the west and from Park Road to 2.3 kilometres eastward. Black River Road has deteriorated and requires reconstruction to maintain the road in good repair. The contractor will also establish a new paved roadside parking area for the existing water fill station located at the southeast corner intersection of Park Road and Black River Road.

Construction on Black River Road began on Aug. 8, 2024, and the majority of the work was completed by in the first week of September 2024. Any outstanding minor works were finished by the end of September 2024.

Local residents were updated periodically throughout the project.
