Looking for bag tags? They are now available at more retail locations throughout Georgina, as well as at the Civic Centre and all three branches of Georgina Public Library. Note that not all retailers sell the large item tags. The full list can be found at georgina.ca/WasteandRecycling.
Remember, the Town’s bag tag program has changed. Residents can place up to two bags or containers/items out for pickup every other week on their regularly scheduled collection days. Any additional waste will require a bag tag. Tags are $2 each and are being sold in groups of five for $10. Previously purchased bag tags remain valid.
The Town now has a $12 fee for large items such as furniture, mattresses, box springs, toilets, appliances and carpeting.
