A pre-consultation meeting is required before submitting a planning approval application. This allows you to explain the proposal and will allow Town staff to guide you through the process. Town staff can also provide preliminary comments about the viability of your proposal and advise you what plans and studies are required to support an application. At the pre-consultation meeting, the Town staff provides a checklist explaining the submission requirements for a complete application.
What should I do before the meeting?
We would like you to retain the services of a professional architect, planner or engineer to prepare your plans. We encourage you to talk to adjacent property owners prior to the application process in order to answer questions and address any concerns your neighbors may have.
