Frequently asked questions
What is a citizen satisfaction survey and why is it being done?
A citizen satisfaction survey is a tool used to gauge how residents feel about their community and what the Town can improve upon when it comes to services, programs, and projects. It is like a report card and relies on your input – what you like and what you think might need some additional work to help us understand where we need to focus. It also provides insight into how residents wish to be engaged, an important consideration for future communications and planning.
Who is conducting the survey? Is it legitimate?
The Town of Georgina has hired Advanis, an independent Canadian market research firm, to administer its 2025 Citizen Satisfaction Survey.
The survey is also registered with the Canadian Research Insights Council's (CRIC) Research Verification Service. The project verification number is: 20241101-AD675
How does it work?
Using your cell phone, text “georgina” to the number provided or scan the QR code from your postcard.
This process will automatically generate a text that will provide a unique link to the online survey. Individuals can use that link to access the survey either on their mobile device or desktop computer.
Each cell phone number would only be eligible to receive one unique link to access the survey. Further text messages sent from the same phone number will receive the same unique link. preventing anyone from completing the survey multiple times.
Multiple members of a household can participate in the study if they use different cell phones to get their unique link.
What if I do not have a cell phone or cannot complete the survey online?
If you do not have a cell phone but you have an email, we will be happy to send you a unique link to complete the survey online with a computer (if you do not have your own computer, you are welcome to use a public computer for this task).
If you are unable to complete the survey online, we will work with the research company to find an alternative method for your participation.
Contact Melissa Robinson, mrobinson@georgina.ca, 905-473-4301, ext. 2296 for support.

Qualifying participants will be entered into a draw to win one of three $250 gift certificates to a local Georgina Business.
Is my personal information safe?
