The Town is issuing a new printed newsletter – Georgina Matters. Check your mailbox – the newsletter will be mailed directly to all households.
Georgina Matters will provide updates on Town programs, services and projects in a condensed high-level format, directing readers to the website for more information. The first issue includes content on the new Multi-Use Recreation Complex (MURC), a Building Georgina update, and information on trails and spring-cleaning initiatives.
The hard-copy seasonal newsletter is a pilot project. With the demise of the local community newspapers, the Town wanted to offer another channel to get information to residents who do not use digital platforms. The Town will continue to utilize its social media channels and monthly electronic eNewsletter to keep the community informed about programs, services and events.
Residents are encouraged to take an online survey and provide feedback on the newsletter by Sept. 1, 2024 for a chance to win one of two $50 Visa gift cards.
