What a snow show Georgina!
- Crews continued to work overnight clearing roads and sidewalks and are out again today. Main roads are prioritized, followed by local roads. Please continue to keep parked cars off the roads so crews can clear.
- Sidewalk plows are tackling large snowbanks and additional equipment has been brought in to assist in some areas. We are making progress and sidewalks will continue to be opened up. Thank you for helping to clear, it is appreciated!
- Please remove snow from around hydrants so emergency crews can access. It could be your house or your neighbours that need it.
- Plans are underway for snow lifts/removals prioritizing downtowns and schools. Timing and locations to follow.
We think we can all agree, this has been an exceptional amount of snow that has fallen. Heavy snow slows the plows down too. (minus the shovelling aches and pains after)
