Town lifts fire ban

The fire ban on all outdoor and open-air burning has been lifted for the Town of Georgina, effective today, June 12, 2023. The Town would like to thank all residents and visitors for their cooperation, and helping us spread the word about the fire ban.

Everyone is encouraged to follow the open-air burning bylaw when it comes to outdoor fires. Open-air burning is any fire set outside other than cooking food on a small confined grill. Campfires larger than two feet by two feet, brush/branches/stumps, burn barrels and construction site fires are examples of open-air burning. Visit the burn permits webpage for more information. Be sure to follow the Town’s channels for any further updates or changes.
