This policy provides the framework for the approval and execution of licence agreements for the installation of third-party wireless telecommunications equipment on the Town of Georgina’s buildings, lands, towers, facilities and roads
Antenna system siting
The Town of Georgina adopted the current Antenna System Siting protocol to:
- Minimize the number of new antenna sites by encouraging co-location
- Encourage designs that integrate with the surrounding land use and public realm
- Establish when local public consultation is required
- Allow Innovation, Science and Economic Development (ISED) and the communications industry to identify and resolve any potential land use, siting or design concerns with the municipality at an early stage in the process.
