The Nature's Emporium Run for Southlake is the evolution of the Bob Hartwell Challenge that began in 2002 to pay tribute to local businessperson, civic leader and avid runner, Bob Hartwell. Through his incredible contribution to the community, Bob touched many lives in his 54 years. The Nature's Emporium Run for Southlake honours his legacy by raising critically needed funds for our hospital, so that our talented teams of clinicians can continue to provide the leading edge care our community deserves, close to home.
This event has since evolved into Southlake’s largest annual community fundraising event, featuring a 5 KM run/walk that follows an exclusive route along Davis Drive in Newmarket, ON. We welcome participants from our communities of York Region, South Simcoe and beyond. Our participants range in age from three to eighty, and fundraise through their networks to support exceptional and compassionate care for their families, friends and neighbours at Southlake.

Please join us in supporting our hospital, Southlake Health!
Our team is participating in the Nature’s Emporium Run for Southlake to raise vital funds for patient care.
Now, more than ever, our hospital needs our help to make sure that every patient gets the care they deserve, when they need it most. Did you know the government does not provide funding for most new or replacement hospital tools and equipment? Everything from basic tools like beds and IV poles to state-of-the-art surgical and diagnostic equipment is funded entirely through community support.
We’re fundraising because we want to make sure that our friends, family, colleagues and neighbours can depend on Southlake for the best possible care close to home.
