Flag raisings help increase public awareness of community activities, including fundraisers, multicultural events, and days of national significance.
The Town supports these events to celebrate the Town’s cultural diversity and to acknowledge important community organizations and groups serving Georgina.
Requests for flag raisings can be made through the Mayor’s Office to mark significant occasions and events. These requests must be submitted at least four weeks before the requested date to allow Council sufficient time for review.
Only requests from registered non-profit or charitable organizations, community groups or community causes will be considered.
Flag drop off and pick up
Flags can be picked up and dropped off at the Clerk’s Office during business hours at the Civic Centre, 26557 Civic Centre Rd., Keswick.
