Club 55 - older adult centre

You must be a member to register for and attend Club 55 programs (unless otherwise stated). Membership to Club 55 is easy and affordable. 

• An annual membership for residents is $20+HST ($22.60) and runs from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31 of that year. (Includes access to programs at all three locations)
• An annual membership purchased after July 1 is reduced to $10+ HST ($11.30) for the remainder of the year.
• Club 55 Sutton Seniors only membership is $10 (no HST) (Access only to Club 55 Sutton programs)
• Try before you buy with a trial membership. Try up to three drop-in programs before purchasing a membership (regular drop-in fees apply).

Japanese Embroidery Bunka

10 a.m. to noon at Club 55 Keswick 
Japanese Embroidery Bunka, also known as Bunka Shishu is an art using Rayon thread with styles like needles to stitch beautiful pictures presented in a kit. Register now and learn to craft your own wonderfully detailed work of art.
To participate, you must have moderate experience with other types of stitching eg: needle point, crewel, embroidery. Also pattern reading (knitting/crocheting) is an asset. Registration for the next session opens Tuesday, March 4, 2025.

Pickleball - Learn to Play

3 - 5 p.m. at the Pefferlaw Sports Zone

New to Pickleball? This registered program is for you!

Our experienced recreation staff are onsite to provide basic sport instruction and rules of play. Games are played as singles or doubles (depending on number of attendees). Players are assigned to matches using the “bucket system” to ensure equal playtime and more even teams (when possible). Some equipment available but limited.

Note: This location has two courts equipped with portable pickleball nets and temporary court lines.

If you are looking for an open play program or a more competitive level of play, please check our drop-in schedules at the Georgina Gym and Pefferlaw Lions Hall for more play times.

Ballroom Dancing

6 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. at SLT/Club 55 Keswick

This fun beginner level course will introduce you to four popular social dances (Slow waltz, Tango and quick step), and will be taught with patience and enthusiasm. You and your partner will learn to move on the dance floor as one, with rhythm and style. Registration for the next session opens Tuesday, March 4, 2025.

Social Dancing (Latin focus)

7:15 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at SLT/Club 55 Keswick

Social Dancing is a fun class for all ability levels. Our experienced instructor will teach a variety of dance genres that will have you feeling confident to get up and dance at any social event. Come on out and dance with us! Dance genres include, but are not limited to, Samba, Cha-cha-cha, Jive, Rumba and some Salsa, Merengue, and Bachata. Registration for the next Capet Bowling Club session opens Tuesday, March 4, 2025.

Join us for the annual Seniors BBQ at Club 55 Keswick to celebrate June is Recreation and Seniors Month! This outdoor event will have Town Council Members and Staff cooking sausage and bugers on the BBQ and DJ Dave Jones playing great music!

Along with great food and yummy dessert, there are so many amazing prizes to be won at Club 55 Keswick's silent auction! Open 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., you can come by early to scope out the auction items and place your bids.

Your ticket includes food, refreshments and dessert, served at noon. Participants are encouraged to bring their own refillable water bottle with them as we have a water bottle filling station on site.
