Valve Chamber Upgrades

Overview

The Town of Georgina recently commissioned the Connell water booster station. A water booster station increases water pressure and flow for users of the drinking water system. As part of the new booster station, valves on the drinking water system must be installed or upgraded.

This capital project will install or upgrade nine valves in the below locations in Town:

  1. The Queensway South at Church Street
  2. The Queensway South at Circle Ridge Drive
  3. Fontaine Drive east of Circle Ridge Drive
  4. The Queensway South at Spring Road
  5. Spring Road east of Ley Boulevard
  6. The Queensway South at Henry Street
  7. Henry Street at Annamaria Drive
  8. Annamaria Drive south of Henry Street
  9. Oakcrest Drive west of Annamaria Drive

Expected disturbances for this construction are listed below. Affected residents will be notified in advance of any direct disruptions.

  • Localized temporary water shutoffs
  • Temporary lane or road closures
  • Typical construction noise and dust
